A $195 deposit reserves your spot in the workshop. The remainder of the payment is due three weeks before the start of the workshop. All payments are non-refundable. If you are forced to cancel, your payment may be applied to a future workshop. Waiting List Anyone applying after the workshop is full will have their deposit returned to them and will be put on a waiting list. Participants requesting an application after the workshop is full will be notified of this and given the option to be put on the waiting list. What is included in the tuition? - 3 days of nature photography and digital imaging instruction, field photo shoots, critique sessions, etc. Limited enrollment ensures one-on-one instruction for participants. - Shared transportation to field shoots. Participants with a 4-wheel drive vehicle who are willing - if necessary - to transport other participants to the field locations will receive a $50 discount on their tuition. - Autographed copy of one or two of Grant Collier's photography books. - Any fees required to access the shooting locations. - Take-home information on nature photography and digital imaging techniques, along with recommended photography products and services. - Follow-up / post workshop contact with Grant Collier via e-mail. What is NOT included in the tuition? - Lodging: Unless stated otherwise, no accommodations are provided. Participants are advised to reserve a hotel room in advance. - Transportation to the location of the workshop. - Meals: Participants should provide their own meals, and bring snacks or meals along on the field shoots. - Photography equipment: Participants should bring their own camera (a 35-mm single-reflex lens (SLR) camera or professional-quality digital camera is recommended, but any camera will suffice). Tripods are optional (one or two tripods will be made available for participants to share). - Computers - It is very helpful if participants bring their own laptop computers, so participants can follow along with the indoor instructional sessions. This, however, is not required. - Film: Participants wishing to use film must bring this with them. A small amount of outdated film will be available for purchase at discounts for those wishing to take night shots on film. Weather Conditions If the weather is poor and a field shoot has to be canceled, additional indoor instructional sessions will be held.
