About the Instructor Grant Collier has been photographing the natural world for the past 15 years, and he has been working as a professional photographer since 1996. He is the author of the books Colorado: Yesterday & Today, Colorado: Moments in Time, Colorado's Hidden Wonders, Colorado Wild, and Colorado's San Juan Mountains, and he produces a yearly wall calendar. He has learned digital imaging techniques from Adobe Certified Expert Nat Coalson and now does all of the digital work involved in preparing his books and calendars, from capture to output. Grant's work has been featured in numerous media outlets, including CNN.com, NBC, CBS, WB2, UPN, 5280 Magazine, Digital Photo Magazine, Preservation Magazine, Jade Magazine, Elevated Living Magazine, Colorado Central Magazine, Colorado Expression Magazine, The Special Reserve Collection, America's Scenic Drives, the Mammoth Book series, the Cube Book series, the Denver Post, and the cover of the Rocky Mountain News. His photographs have been on display in galleries throughout Colorado, and he has done work for such organizations as The Wilderness Society, the Castle Rock Collaboration, the Rocky Mountain Angling Club, and the City of Black Hawk.
